The Golden Eagle – Mexico's national bird – is found throughout North America, as well as Europe, North Africa and Asia, making them the most widely distributed eagle. Their wingspan is 6 to 7.5 feet (1.8 to 2.3 meters) and the birds typically weigh 6 to 15 pounds (3 to 7 kilograms).

The Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative is pleased to announce that its 2010 Partner Grants Program has been extended into its 13th year. Y2Y's Partner Grants program funds projects that support the Y2Y mission and vision in one or more of Y2Y's eight Priority Areas for conservation.
